The purpose of this Pathology Research Technician is to support and conduct robust and efficient disease phenotyping assays and inoculum production in research fields, Greenhouse and lab settings.

Critical technical, professional and personal requirement:
-Capable of caring of plants in greenhouse chamber and support planting, collect emergence data and ratings
-Capable of standing, sitting, bending, lifting, squatting for several hours at a time to inoculate and collect data in field setting
-Strong learning, planning, organizing, time management, and problem-solving skills across widely varied development activities
-Ability to quickly learn and apply skills in field, greenhouse and lab activities
-Able to work individually and in a team setting
-Ability to travel and overnight stays (knowing driving is not necessary)
Physical demands of the essential functions:
- Work environment varies from lab, greenhouse and field with exposure to hot/cold weather.
- Exposure to high and low temperatures in greenhouse, field, or seed store
- Potential exposure to allergens / irritants such as dust, pollen, fungal spores, and chemical pesticide residues in the field or greenhouse
-All applicants must be eligible to work in the US
Shifts Available:
Mon-Friday (7:30AM-4:00PM) with occasional overtime during summer field season.
Pay rate is $19.33, potentially more for the right candidate.
