Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled Hand Tool Grinder to work with Sanitary Stainless Steel products to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in machining and the ability to work with precision measuring instruments.
Job Duties:
- Demonstrate high proficiency in grinding and finishing to very specific and high-quality standards.
- Grind and smooth out welded seams and joints, and then polish and blend cosmetic finish on stainless steel.
- Examine work pieces for defects using proper measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications. Examine and feel surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches or breaks.
- Perform general labor tasks including light lifting and moving of materials.
- Assist in maintenance, cleaning, and repair of equipment as assigned.
- Understand work prior to beginning each job by studying work orders, drawings/plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and parameters.
- Complete assigned work within given time frame according to specification.
- Report all non-conforming material to Supervisor immediately.
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and improve production processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Proven experience in machining or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and tools.
- Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Machining: 1 year
- Manufacturing: 1 year
