Special Educational Assistant   – 1st Shift - Part Time (20 hours/week)
Location: Omaha, NE
Pay: $15+/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift

Advance Services is seeking a reliable and motivated General Education Assistant to support classroom activities and enhance student learning. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to provide instructional, supervisory, and administrative support in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, student supervision, and lesson preparations

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives

  • Help monitor student behavior and encourage a positive learning environment

  • Prepare instructional materials, set up classroom resources, and support daily routines

  • Organize, file, and manage student records and documents

  • Assist with arrival, dismissal, and transitions between activities

  • Support students with special needs under teacher direction

  • Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and parents

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional coursework or degree in education preferred)

  • Previous experience working with children or in a classroom environment preferred

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, patient, organized, and able to follow instructions
  • Ability to pass background checks and required clearances
