Job Description

Shipping and Receiving

Bring your experience working in a warehouse as a Shipping and Receiving for an outstanding facility in Chico CA.

Job Duties:

Filling and shipping customer orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming products, and routing to the appropriate area or personnel.
Verifying all incoming and outgoing shipping counts and lot numbers. Sign and date packing slips to be turned into accounting.
Ship all packages/pallets in a cost-efficient manner, but not to interfere with the integrity of the packaging
Arrange all freight via truck or FedEx. Executing the bill of lading for all outgoing or scheduling incoming products we purchase.
Call customers to obtain shipping schedules, arrange shipping, or discuss shipping.
Keep the customer spec sheet up to date; create and modify as necessary.
Print and tag all pallets, including keeping customers’ inventory segregated and labeled.
Wrap and secure all freight
Cooler Rotation, space assignment, cooler inventory, and temperature logs.
Maintain equipment related to shipping, logbook, pallet wrapper, and shipping scales
Procure and order (via Purchase order) materials needed for shipping., including but not limited to shipping thermal labels, miscellaneous boxes, tape, shipping pallets, keep these items organized.
Attention to detail is a must!

Requirements:

Able to follow directions, as well as work independently but also cooperatively with others. Must be computer literate, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Knowledge of general business computer software (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook) and aptitude to learn new software applications.
Ability to make calculations such as freight weight, dimensional weight, and percentages.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and exhibits sound judgment.
Reliable, trustworthy, and result-oriented.
Have dependable personal transportation and a valid CDL.
Must have experience in forklift operation.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Pay: $18.00 plus DOE
