Job Description

Seasonal Field Research Technician (Contractor)

We are seeking a bilingual Field Research Tech to support field trials and data collection for new berry varieties during the active field season. This role works closely with the Senior Agronomist to help execute field research activities and ensure accurate trial data in the San Luis Obispo area!

Job Duties: 
  • Assist with field trial activities including tagging plants, measuring, harvesting, sampling, and plot maintenance
  • Collect soil, plant tissue, and fruit samples following established protocols
  • Accurately record and enter field data in Excel and internal systems
  • Travel between trial locations in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria (with occasional trips to Watsonville/Salinas)
 Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 3+ years in agriculture, plant science, horticulture, or field data collection (experience with berries preferred)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

Shift: Mon-Fri (weekends varies)
Hours: Varies
Pay: $20.00-$22.00
