Job Description

Printing Press Operator Trainee
Start your next career in Grand Island, NE, as a Printing Press Operator Trainee, learning to operate and assist with pressroom equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and safety are essential as you gain valuable on-the-job training in printing operations.

Job Duties

Load newsprint rolls and prepare the press for production
Make pasters to ensure continuous paper flow during printing
Monitor reel stands and press operation throughout production
Set and adjust ink densities to maintain print quality
Maintain proper registration for accurate print alignment
Fill and maintain ink fountains as needed during press runs
Set and adjust folders for proper paper folding
Assist with plate making and plate changes
Maintain a clean and safe press area
Perform additional duties as assigned to support press operations

Schedule
Varies - weekly scheduled as assigned

Training is to be completed on day shift, hours being 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
After training is completed, hours will vary - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 4:00 pm to midnight
Hours given via a weekly schedule from the supervisor

Pay
$19.00 per hour
