Job Description
Complete tasks assigned by department manager or research associates in a timely manner. Tasks may include some or all the following – Organization of seed inventory, packaging of seed, supervised application of seed treatment, seed packet organization, mechanical planting of fields, staking of plots, tissue sample gathering, hand pollination, hoeing of weeds, hand harvest of corn ears or soybean plants, shelling of corn ears, threshing of soybean plants, light cleaning of work areas, detail oriented, accurate entry, Computer data entry. Be willing to work in a busy environment. All other duties as assigned.
Must be able to perform the following physical demands:
standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing and/or pulling: some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Potential for overtime during time-critical periods of growing season. Potential allergens are pollen and fungal spores. Capable of working in high or low temperature conditions in lab or field.  work outdoors and indoors depending on the season.
