Job Description

Fleet Mechanic - 1st Shift

Advance Services is hiring 1st shift Fleet Mechanics to join our team with an industry-leading production facility. If you possess a desire to grow and have a self-driven personality, this job may be for you!

This shift is from 4 am - 2:30 pm
Pay Rate: $24.92

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, oil and lube services, and repair work on fleet vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
  • Inspect fleet equipment for compliance, safety, and proper functionality.
  • Service, diagnosis, and repair brakes, diesel and gasoline engines, tractor/trailers, and power-train systems.
  • Ensure all moving parts are properly lubricated and equipment operates as intended.
  • Review driver vehicle inspection reports and address reported issues.
  • Inspect trucks daily to ensure operational readiness.
  • Accurately interpret repair manuals and work orders.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and participate in necessary repairs.
  • Compile and manage truck shop work schedules.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records.
  • Respond to roadside service calls for disabled vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all company safety rules and regulations; attend scheduled safety meetings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Experience diagnosing and servicing brakes, diesel trucks (tractor/trailers), gasoline engines, and power-train systems.
  • Basic proficiency using hand tools.
