Material Handler - North Las Vegas, NV

Advance Services Inc. is looking for Experience Material Handlers to ensure raw materials and other items needed for production are delivered to the appropriate work area and tracked in a timely manner.  The activity is conducted in a working manufacturing environment where safety and caution must be the primary focus.

Job Duties:
  • Prepare work area at the beginning of the shift and ensuring that is ready and clean for the next shift which includes replenishing necessary materials and paperwork. 
  • Transfer material between warehouses and between warehouse and machine centers. 
  • Assist with the receipts of inbound material facilities 
  • Place raw materials in proper storage areas and process documentation to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure stock and supplies are delivered to appropriate work areas as requested. 
  • Wrap and prepare inner company transfers. 
  • Breakdown incoming shipments of raw materials for warehouse transferred or newly received materials.
  • Organize stock, front stock, wrap stock, and label cards and communicate low stock levels. 
  • Unload and load truck. 
  • Collect and prepare recycled material for shipment and gather/dispose of trash in the warehouse. 
  • Track all jobs and double check paperwork for accuracy. 
  • Read, understand, and follow job instructions on job ticket and machine operation.
  • Be flexible to work in alternate areas and schedules to meet customer demands rush or urgent requests and during peak periods without prior notice. 
  • Follow standard processes and procedures established and assigned by Operations Lead. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and workspaces. 

Required Experience:
  • Logistics and Production
  • One-year factory related experience in both shipping and receiving
  • Experience with material handling equipment: (Pallet Jack)
  • Basic math and reading skills and must be able to read and understand work and safety instructions in English
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at different stages of complexity
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organization skills combined with structured problem solving and the ability to determine root causes

Starting Pay:  $16.00 an hour

1st Shift 
4:00am to 2:30pm 
Monday to Thursday
4/10 Schedule
OT on Friday's as Needed

2nd Shift
2:30pm to 1:00am
Monday to Thursday 
4/10 Schedule
OT on Friday's as Needed
