Material Handler 2
Pay: $16.40

Ready to play a vital role in the smooth operation of our production processes? As a Material Handler 2, you'll be the backbone of our material flow, ensuring that folded signatures are efficiently handled, accurately tallied, and safely transported to their next destination. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and teamwork are key to success.

What You’ll Do:
  • Remove folded signatures from the web press and skillfully stack them onto pallets or skids for delivery to warehouse or binding areas.
  • Load and unload materials using pallets, carts, and trays with efficiency.
  • Safely move materials to designated locations utilizing hand trucks or electric dollies.
  • Accurately count, weigh, and record units on daily production sheets to maintain impeccable inventory records.
  • Label and mark containers for easy identification, supporting streamlined workflows.
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment while completing tasks efficiently.

Required Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording.
  • Ability to operate manual handling equipment such as hand trucks and electric dollies.
  • Good organizational skills to manage sorting, labeling, and documentation.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a clean workspace.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or print environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory tracking.
  • Prior experience with material handling equipment operation certifications.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar material handling role is a plus but not mandatory.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials frequently.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours if needed to meet production deadlines.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
