Pay Rate: $21 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Work Hours: To be determined during the interview process; within the range of 6:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Position Summary
The Cost Accountant / Costing Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and cost control within a manufacturing environment. This role maintains standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), and routings; analyzes cost variances; and partners cross-functionally to support operational efficiency, profitability, and informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update standard costs, BOMs, and routings

  • Analyze actual versus standard costs and investigate variances by product and job

  • Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure BOM accuracy and support design changes

  • Monitor material, labor, and overhead cost trends and provide actionable insights

  • Prepare cost, variance, and gross margin reports

  • Support new product development and cost modeling initiatives

  • Perform inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and reserve analysis

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

  • Ensure compliance with cost accounting policies and internal controls

  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented with a proactive and adaptable approach
