Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic
Hours: 6am-430pm (Mon-Thu) 6am-230p (Fri)
Hourly Rate: $24-$30

Overview:
- The Maintenance Mechanic will perform maintenance duties for the entire facility. The main goal is to 
repair equipment to minimize machine down time.

Job Duties:
- Must be able to diagnose problems, plan corrective action, and complete repair requirements to restore machines and equipment to full operating condition.
- Must be able to contribute to planning and repair stages of machine and equipment installation and rebuild projects.
- Must be familiar with the operation of various types of material handling equipment such as; lift trucks, hoists, cranes ect.
- Required to assist in the planning, and complete installation of used and new equipment.
- Must provide a tool box and hand tools to meet the needs of the position.
- Capable of reading and comprehending machine and equipment maintenance manuals, related parts diagrams, prints and layouts.
- Responsible for keeping equipment clean, maintained, and stored neatly.
- Ensure work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Performs general housekeeping of the repair site.
- Keeps the maintenance department clean and organized.
- Understand and practice appropriate safety procedures; participate in and support FLC-Gardner Abrasives safety program and campaigns.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Fives Landis Corp. Gardner Abrasives as an industry leader to customers, suppliers, professional colleagues, and employees

Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred
- Troubleshoot custom equipment and engage in preventive maintenance program.
- Some electrical and hydraulic experience preferred.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments helpful.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
