Job Description
Position: General Operator
Location: Woodhull, IL
Pay: $19/hour
Overview:
As a General Operator, you will assist with seasonal and year-round operations including seed receiving, processing, packaging, warehouse logistics, and site maintenance. You’ll follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Seasonal Tasks:
- Fall (Sept–Oct): Receive and process crop trucks; husk/sort operations; dryer operations; shelling and storage; seed treatment.
- Winter (Nov–Mar): Label, tag, bag, and palletize seed; enter inventory; forklift operations; manage shipping and warehouse logistics.
- Spring/Summer (Apr–Aug): Retag/rebag seed; inspect and clean pro boxes; operate box wash equipment.
Year-Round Duties:
- General maintenance and cleaning (5S)
- Forklift operation (loading/unloading, staging)
- Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Maintain accurate records and inventory tracking
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Reliable and exceptional attendance
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and long hours
- Must pass background check and pre-employment screenings
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and working in indoor/outdoor conditions
