Crane Operator - Osceola AR
Night Shift Wed-Sat

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate overhead crane to safely lift, move and position loads on transports and throughout the facility. Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.
  • Manipulates remote crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal or signal directions.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
  • Inspects crane for defects and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions before each shift.
  • Ability to operate load charts as needed to operate the crane safely.
  • Understands the stability requirements and weight limitations of the machine they are operating.
  • Understand OSHA regulations relevant to the safe operation of a crane.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and co-workers.
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard operating practices.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance on assigned shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with frequency, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull.
Manufacturing environment; regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. Noise level is usually loud.
