Job Description

Job Title: Forklift Driver
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Shift Differential: Available for 2nd & 3rd shifts

Shift Schedule

  • Rotating shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

  • Up to 10–12 hours per shift

  • Shift options include:

  • Sunday – Thursday

  • Saturday – Friday

  • 12-hour shifts on a 2-3-2 rotation (seasonal, typically October–April)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely and professionally operate a forklift with zero accidents

  • Complete and maintain accurate forklift inspection records

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of forklift equipment

  • Track product locations using WMS (Warehouse Management System) with accurate data entry

  • Load and unload transport vehicles during seed delivery and return season, ensuring quality standards are met

  • Assist with additional warehouse tasks as directed (sampling, inventory, cleaning, etc.)

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

  • Follow all safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary
Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of forklift experience

  • 1 year of warehouse experience

  • Prior forklift certification preferred
Required Skills

  • Accurate counting and inventory handling

  • Ability to read scales

  • Basic computer skills (PCs, scanners, WMS systems)

  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability

  • Safe and alert forklift operation in confined spaces

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Position Summary
Operate forklifts to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, and move materials and products within the warehouse. Comply with all regulatory and safety requirements. May use warehouse technology including scanners and computer systems to complete job duties.
