Job Description

Position: Fabrication Assistant
Department: Fabrication
Shift: 3rd Shift
Pay: $17.50 – $20.00/hour (based on experience) + $3.00/hour shift differential

Job Purpose
The Fabrication Assistant supports the 3rd shift fabrication department by assisting with key production processes including plasma table operation, band saw operation, forklift driving, and part stocking. This position plays an important role in maintaining efficient workflow and ensuring the fabrication area runs smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities
The Fabrication Assistant will assist in the daily operation of the fabrication department by operating plasma cutting tables and band saws to process materials according to production needs. This role includes driving forklifts to transport materials and stocking fabricated parts to production lines. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or warehouse environments is beneficial but not required. Candidates should be comfortable working with industrial machinery and hand tools. Forklift certification or experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
