Forklift Mechanic

Job Description 

Advance Services is seeking forklift mechanic to join its team at a packing facility in the Baytown Tx area. 

The forklift mechanic will be primarily responsible for
  • Maintenance and repair: 
    Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and handle emergency repairs on engines, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulics. 
  • Troubleshooting: 
    Diagnose and fix a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. 
  • Parts replacement: 
    Replace worn or broken parts, such as lift chains, tires, and other structural components. 
  • Inspections: 
    Conduct pre-delivery inspections and general safety checks to ensure equipment is in good working order. 
  • Record-keeping: 
    Maintain detailed logs of service, repairs, and maintenance performed on each machine. 
  • Inventory management: 
    Manage spare parts inventory and occasionally pick up supplies. 
  • Safety compliance: 
    Ensure all work is done safely and that the equipment meets safety standards

Will be on feet working for 10 to12 hours a day, may work a rotating day and night shift monday through sunday with scheduled days off. Overtime is required. 

Pay Rate $17.00 per hour for hours up to 40 a week and remaining 20-40 hours weekly are paid at the overtime pay rate.
