Job Description

Job Title: Engine Packaging Engineer
Location: Galesburg, IL
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
 
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble fabricated parts, subassemblies, and kits into finished products using work orders, blueprints, and customer specifications. This role supports industrial and electromechanical equipment production while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components using hand, power, and air tools

  • Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions

  • Inspect completed assemblies and document quality results

  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve products and processes

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2–3 years of assembly or mechanical experience (or equivalent)

  • Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions

  • Basic math and mechanical skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (up to 100 lbs occasionally)
