Diesel Mechanic
Hiring Now!

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20-30/hr depending on experience
Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5:30pm

Advance Services is seeking hardworking and dependable Diesel Mechanics to join a growing team! The ideal candidate will have experience working on trucks and trailers, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced repair shop environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers
  • Complete DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine service work
  • Operate welding and torch equipment as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Accurately document repairs and inspections completed
Qualifications:
  • Previous diesel mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience preferred
  • Knowledge of truck and trailer systems and components
  • Ability to complete DOT inspections
  • Welding and torch experience preferred
  • Must have own tools
  • CDL license is a plus, but not required
