Job Title: Mechanic
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Pay: $25–$35/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team in Cedar Rapids. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment and vehicles, including forklifts, shop trucks, rollbacks, roll offs, semi-trailers, and material handlers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and run diagnostic tests on vehicles and equipment to identify issues.

  • Conduct necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Track, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

  • Test drive vehicles to evaluate performance and verify repairs.

  • Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience on industrial vehicles and heavy equipment.

  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
