Job Description
DC Dispatcher
Manage Distribution Center tasks within standard polices. Collaborate with Distribution Center personnel to accurately ensure that all Inbounds and Outbounds are received and shipped on time without discrepancies in the WMS and ERP system. This position has the responsibility for the Distribution Center performance reporting and all other needed administrative activities.
Responsibilities:
Schedule
• Update driver information upon check in
• Update status of order as progresses throughout the day
• Update MH/loaders assigned, and times worked
• Email notification of schedule status when 2 hours or more behind
• Email notification when driver is 2 hours late or has left
• Email notification when discrepancy found in schedule or order
• Release orders according to the schedule.
Receiving
• Update driver information upon check in.
• Email notification when driver is 2 hours late or has left.
• Create receipts for all external product scheduled to receive.
• Assign dock door and stage.
Shipping
• Release orders in WMS
• Change locations when unable to find items in bins (place missing on hold)
• Print BOL for shipping orders
• Ship in WMS when order has left the facility
Stages
• Update empty stages in WMS when an order has left the facility.
Closing Day
• Pass information for all pending transactions
• Clean area
• Verify all assignments from daily shift have been complete
• Verify all orders were ship in WMS during your shift
Participate in Physical Inventory count
Identify and report all safety hazards
Separate and scan all paperwork for the Distribution Center
All other duties as assigned on a daily basis
Qualifications:
• Associates Degree preferred or 1 year of experience as DC Administrator
• 2 years of more of Customer Service experience
• Warehouse experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word
• Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook
• Oracle experience preferred but not required
• WMS experience preferred but not required
• Flexible schedule and shift (day or night), including weekends
• Cover the shifts assigned during the week in order to have a 24/7 operation
