Job Description

CNC Machinist - $28-$32/hour based on experience and skill level
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Temp-to-Hire (90 days)

Advance Services, Inc, is hiring CNC Machinists for a local marine and naval manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, FL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Program complex parts for CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and/or
conversational programming on Mazak lathes & mills)
• Develop machine set-ups, program edits, program saving, and working with tolerances to
+/- .001”
• Demonstrate forward thinking to avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot any
problems that do arise
• Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment
• Read 2-D shop prints and update paperwork accurately and in an organized manner
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and various other
inspection equipment
• Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) required
• Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M/M schedules
• Maintain high level of quality as identified by customer requirements

Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing machining environment
• Basic math skills and ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with G-Coding
