Job Description

Position: CIS (Continuous Improvement Support)
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: $19.00/hour
Location: Columbus, NE
Job Purpose
The CIS position provides support to CHC quality programs and continuous improvement initiatives. This role helps ensure product quality and process efficiency by conducting inspections, collecting data, and supporting safe and effective production flow.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform first-piece inspections at various points in the production process and during final assembly. Conduct inspections of incoming materials, outsourced parts, and returned products. Record, gather, and report data accurately to support quality and process tracking. Assist in maintaining the flow of product, materials, and information while preventing defects and inefficiencies. Use good judgment in alignment with company values and production goals. Consistently demonstrate behaviors that reflect CHC’s core values and commitment to quality. Operate equipment such as carts, forklifts, and cranes to safely transport products as needed. Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. One to three years of relevant experience is preferred. Candidates should be proficient in using and calibrating inspection instruments, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording. The ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints and engineering concepts is important. Basic math and computer skills are required, including familiarity with MS Windows and ERP systems. The ideal candidate will have a calm, professional demeanor and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
