Job Description

Antioxidant Production Process Tech- 2nd Shift
Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm
Hourly Rate: $22/hour

Overview:

- To mix, blend, formulate, and package batches of raw ingredients and materials into finished antioxidant products, rennet paste, liquid coagulants, flavors, and dry blended Lipase powders. To monitor and maintain specified parameters for products. To package other products, such as samples and special labeled products for shipping to customers

Job Duties:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions to make the necessary adjustments in the production process, such as adjusting control instrumentation, and moving products and raw materials.
- Load and unload process equipment.
- Prepare materials for blending. This requires weighing and mixing raw materials in accordance with batch ticket specification, filling equipment with appropriate materials, and moving raw materials, equipment, and final products throughout the plant.
- Maintain accurate written records or logs of all production processes/equipment/maintenance/routine cleaning.
- Use and dispense chemicals in a safe and appropriate manner, according to labeling and information systems, such as HMIS, SDS and NFPA.
- Clean, sanitize, and sterilize all production/packaging equipment and other process areas in the plant.

Job Requirements: 
- Must have a high school education or equivalent, a successful work history, the ability to work as a team player, and proven mechanical ability.
- Must be able to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
- Must be able to wear proper PPE and Respiratory protection, when required.
- Should be able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and move throughout the plant; move and maneuver seven hundred fifty (750) pounds with mechanical assistance.
- · Knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, quality control, costs and site specific quality programs such as GMP’s, HACCP, FSSC 22000, NSF, ICH Q7, etc.

Working Conditions: 
- Work is performed in temperatures ranging from negative 70 degrees (-70) to ninety (90) degrees Fahrenheit. Conditions may be humid, wet, slippery, and dusty.
- The work requires that employees be able to maintain a high level of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
- Work environments may involve safe handling of potentially hazardous chemicals. The work re-quires that employees wear personal safety protection equipment.
