Looking for an Accounting Manager to lead an accounting team, ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations in the Gilroy area! The role involves managing a small team, reviewing work for accuracy, and providing financial reports and insights to company leadership. Candidates with construction industry accounting experience and a passion for leadership will find this an excellent growth opportunity!

Job Description: 
  • Supervising and mentoring the accounting staff involves reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Improving and documenting accounting procedures while ensuring compliance with certified payroll, prevailing wage, and union reporting requirements.
  • Approval of payroll operations, payables, receivables, and billing processes.
  • Serve as the primary contact for auditors, insurers, and state agencies, and oversees reconciliations across QuickBooks, payroll, and project management systems.
  • Provide accurate financial reports and insights to management, recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, while supporting decision-making through reliable data and analysis.

Requirements: 
  • Prior construction experience is prefered!
  • Excellent understanding of California and federal payroll/tax compliance
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
  • 7+ years of accounting experience and/or in leadership role preferred
  • Familiar with DIR, DAS 140/142, LCP Tracker, Elations, Emars, etc.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
 
Pay: $95k - $125k/year
Schedule: Monday - Friday
