Job Description

Account Specialist- 1st Shift
Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm (Mon-Fri)
Hourly Rate: $20-$25

Overview:

- Under the direction of the Business Relationship Manager, the Customer Service Representative builds strong relationships externally with customers, and internally with engineering, quality, scheduling, and shipping to ensure accurate timely updates of customer schedules and releases along with the new entry of orders.

Essential Functions:
- Review customer demand via customer portals, EDI, or emailed purchase orders and enter in ERP system
- Maintain customer files in ERP system including current customer billing and shipping contact information, contracts and comments for packing slips and shipping requirements
- Communicate changes and updates in scheduled deliveries to customer & provide tracking information if required.
- Organize and maintain requests for quote packages using CRM software including following up.
- Collaborate with customers on forecasts and upcoming releases
- Process all new customer parts for routing including the scanning of prints into customer print files, ensuring that any required specs noted on prints are on file in the customer’s spec file
- Follow the advanced quality planning process through the workflow for new and changed parts
- Participate in daily / weekly meetings for production and RFQ updates

Job Responsibilities:
- Enter customer orders and coordinate shipping details between scheduling and the customer
- Cross reference quotes to orders to ensure matching price, lead times, revisions, terms, etc
- Update customers on order status during production
- Resolve any customer returns or disputes and request for credit and/or follow-up actions
- Distribute open order reports to customers weekly and report any slow-moving inventory

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma required. College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- 2 years of professional customer service experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with SharePoint, MS Teams, Outlook required
- Experience with Epicor (or similar ERP system) preferred
- Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) preferred
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively multitask while maintaining focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, speak and hear, interpret documents and instructions in written, oral, blueprint, diagram and schedule form in English
- Strong independent work habits
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Exhibits core values of integrity and accountability
- Exceptional written and communication skills
- Efficient time and resource management skills to ensure that service levels provided exceed expectations
- General office duties such as filing, typing and printing of reports
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Participates in company and quality audits
- Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, squat, crawl and/or kneel
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move reports, files and office supplies weighing up to 10 pounds
- Required to use hands to handle, touch and feel tools, equipment and controls
- Vision requirements include (corrective or non) close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth and to be able to adjust focus
- Complies with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures
