Helps string machines up when they go down or need changed over.

Become a key part of a high-performing team in Grand Island, NE as a Machine Operator â where youâll run essential equipment to process custom pipe and metal parts with precision, supporting the critical needs of industrial clients.

Job Duties:

Operate fabrication machinery safely and efficiently, including starting and stopping machines without direct supervision.
Control and adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and optimize performance.
Load raw materials or unfinished parts onto the machine and safely remove finished parts.
Continuously monitor machine operation to detect and resolve issues, minimizing downtime.
Use designated measurement instruments to check part quality and ensure all products meet required specifications.

Pay: $20/Hr DOE
Shift: 1st - 7 am to 330 pm

Job Duties:

Follow and execute sequenced instructions, work orders, and blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications.
Perform proper machine start-up and shutdown procedures.
Set up, load, and operate press brake or punch press equipment according to production requirements.
Monitor part quality by evaluating dimensions and identifying defects, making adjustments as necessary.
Use metal finishing tools such as grinders and abrasives to meet surface finish requirements.
Safely operate material handling equipment including cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks.

Ability to pass a 3G Vertical Up weld test using .035 solid wire with pulse welding.
Basic understanding of blueprints and welding specifications.

Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment.
Experience using inspection and measuring tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Apply, align, attach, insert, and fasten components and sub-assemblies to chassis in the required order and sequence

Adjust amperage and voltage to ensure quality welds at optimal speed
Produce simple to complex weldments, including regular and irregular designs
Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
Ensure proper fit, alignment, and dimensional accuracy using fixtures and clamps
Guide the welding gun to achieve correct fusion, bead size, and weld quality
Clean and prepare weld joints using wire brushes, grinders, or chemical methods
Cut metal plates or structural shapes using an oxy/acetylene torch when needed
