This role will focus on corn Yield Trial Stakes and emergence Counts, which include thinning plots for sweetcorn, tissue sampling, and plot evaluation notes. Pollinating at Stanton, MN. This job will require working outside. It could also require day travel to off-site locations.
Tasks may include some or all the following – Organization of seed inventory, packaging of seed, supervised application of seed treatment, seed packet organization, mechanical planting of fields, staking of plots, tissue sample gathering, hand pollination, hoeing of weeds, hand harvest of corn ears or soybean plants, shelling of corn ears, threshing of soybean plants, light cleaning of work areas, work outdoors and indoors depending on the season, Computer data entry. Work well with a large team. Be willing to work in a busy environment. . Must wear assigned PPE. Must be able to bend, twist, and lift up to 50lbs.
