Job Description

Process Operator- 2nd Shift
Urgently Hiring
Hours: 10:45pm-7:00am

Overview:
- The Tortilla Process Operator is responsible for safely, efficiently, and effectively operating the process equipment, while controlling the total finished product produces. The Tortilla Process Operator is a key component of our overall business success. 

Job Duties: 
- Maintain process equipment and finished product per lab specifications
- Report any deviations associated with the above parameters to the appropriate Team Leader and Quality Team personnel
- Monitor finished product to achieve the highest-quality product possible
- Monitor and dispose of scrap
- Report excess amounts of scrap loss to immediate supervisor or Team Lead
- Communicate effectively with all department and plant personnel 
- Work extended schedules as the needs of the business dictate
- Work in other areas as workload demands
- Perform daily and weekly cleanup and sanitation, including the proper handing of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Requirements:
- high school diploma and or 1-3 months of related work experience
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos 
- Ability to write simple correspondences
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one group situations to team leaders, managers, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
