Job Duties: The Feed Mill Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a feed mill, ensuring that the production of animal feed meets quality and safety standards. This involves operating equipment, managing ingredients, and maintaining the mill's cleanliness and functionality. 
  • Operating Equipment: Operating and monitoring computerized systems for grinding, mixing, and pelletizing feed.
  • Ingredient Management: Ensuring accurate recording of scale weights and transactions, loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials, and managing inventory levels.
  • Quality Control: Collecting and processing samples to ensure feed quality and safety.
  • Maintenance: Performing routine preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., greasing bearings, checking belts) and troubleshooting minor problems.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to safety regulations, and ensuring the mill's overall cleanliness.
  • Customer Service: Assisting with customer inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Working with other operators, supervisors, and personnel to meet customer requirements and ensure efficient operations.
