Maintenance Mechanic- 2nd and 3rd Shift

Job Duties: 

- Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to minor equipment errors or failures.
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications. Machinery / Equipment to include: die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment, etc.
- Install and/or adjust equipment or machinery as needed to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment. 
- Perform general facility maintenance; including: roofs, windows, doors, floors, plaster, drywall or other parts of building structures.
- Install/Inspect/Maintain facility systems including: compressed air, boiler/steam systems, HVAC equipment, vacuum systems, lighting/electrical and plumbing (air/water/hydraulic).
- Repair and service hand trucks, fork trucks and clamp trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters or doing other preventative maintenance actions as assigned through either paper, verbal or electronic work-orders.
- Record documentation of cost, necessary supplies or parts and/or work completed within the e-Maintenance system as well as inventory requisition slips for parts used during repairs. Upon troubleshooting, provide recommendations regarding the extent of repair(s) required, materials and/or parts necessary and estimated time to complete repair.
- Include PLC Work
- Perform other related duties as assigned; including overtime work as required

Job Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, multi-view blueprints and shop directives.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to communicate effectively. 
- General knowledge of setting up and operating machine tools such as small lathes, milling machine, drill presses and precision grinders to manufacture component parts or re-machine existing parts.

Essential Functions: 
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear
- Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Education and Experience: 
- Must have an associate’s degree in Machine Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Machine Tool Operator, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Technician, PLC & Electricity, Maintenance Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Maintenance Mechanical Systems, Maintenance Machining or related field.  At least two years of maintenance experience is required in the absence of a degree in related field/industry.
- 2-4 years maintenance experience in manufacturing/printing environment or a completed apprenticeship program, preferred.  Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, general facilities maintenance and PLC troubleshooting Special emphasis will be placed on qualifications relating to electrical maintenance
