Job Description
The MIG Welder is responsible for setting up and operating MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding equipment to fabricate and assemble steel components used in Wildeck's material handling and safety products, including mezzanines, guards, lifts, and access equipment. This role ensures all welds meet company specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine welding requirements.

Perform MIG welding on structural steel components, ranging from light to heavy gauge material.

Set up welding machines based on the job and maintain proper settings throughout the process.

Inspect welded surfaces and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to meet quality standards.

Operate grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools as needed.

Ensure adherence to safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve workflow and resolve production issues.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

1–3 years MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in reading blueprints and measuring tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

AWS certification is a plus but not required.
