Field Service Technician – HVAC Manufacturing Equipment
Location: Travel-based (Domestic & Occasional International)
Pay Range: $70,500 – $85,000
Schedule: Varies by project rotation with fellow technicians
Status: Full-Time
About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join a growing team supporting advanced metal-forming machinery used in HVAC duct fabrication. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, who’s comfortable working independently, solving problems in the field, and delivering excellent service to customers.
You’ll travel extensively to install, maintain, and troubleshoot precision equipment, while representing one of the most respected names in HVAC manufacturing automation.
What You’ll Do:

Install, service, repair, and retrofit complex automated machinery

Perform control upgrades, wiring, and system diagnostics

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, and layout diagrams

Diagnose electrical issues, test circuits, and replace components

Train customers on safe equipment operation and software use

Troubleshoot issues in the field and provide phone support when in-house

Complete service logs, expense reports, and maintenance documentation

Support quality control testing of new equipment as needed

Travel across the U.S. and internationally to customer sites
What You Bring:

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial electrical controls

2+ years experience in industrial maintenance or field service

Experience with precision tools and diagnostic equipment

Ability to work in confined spaces and varying job site conditions

Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
Professionalism and independence on the job

Ability to pass a competency test, background check, and pre-employment drug screening
Education & Experience:
-
Completion of an Industrial Maintenance Program (or related education)

3–5 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
-
Forklift or OSHA certifications a plus (not required)
Compensation & Perks:
-
Base salary: $70,500–$85,000, based on experience
-
Additional pay for weekend work or daily travel
-
Straight-time pay for hours worked beyond 8 hours per day while traveling

Per diem for travel days; all flights, hotels, and rentals covered

Base travel tool kit provided + job boxes with equipment on-site

Most travel jobs are two weeks at a time with weekends home
Physical Requirements:

Regularly stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs

Use hands for assembly, measurement, and tool handling

Must have clear vision (near, distance, peripheral, focus adjustment)
