Job Description

Draftsman – Steel Fabrication
Location: Columbus, NE
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:

The Draftsman will assist with structural steel design using AutoCAD, SDS/2 Steel Modeling Software, and Pronest. This role involves creating accurate steel structure designs, assisting with project planning, and coordinating with customers and team members.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed steel structure designs.
  • Create and modify designs using AutoCAD, SDS/2, and Pronest software.
  • Assist in programming and operating the plasma table.
  • Ensure projects meet accuracy, quality, and timeline requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Review and check drawings for accuracy.
  • Assist in estimating and project meetings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in steel design or an Associate’s Degree in AutoCAD (not required; we will train qualified candidates).
  • Knowledge of welding procedures and the ability to read blueprints is a plus.
Schedule:
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) with occasional overtime.
