Job Description

Custodian/Janitor

Advance Services Inc. is looking for candidates interested in and experience in custodial and janitorial work.

Become a team member of a Food Products Supplier company located in North Las Vegas near the Speedway!

Job Description:

Responsible for ensuring sanitation and cleanliness of facilities through performance of assigned duties.
Duties consist of but are not limited to housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, warehouse, freezer areas, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.
Sweeping, Scrubbing, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing and vacuuming floors using equipment such as brooms, vacuum, buffers and shampooers for all areas in facility.
Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of the breakroom including emptying trash cans in and around the facility and clean outside areas as needed.
Clean racks, under dock plates, fire systems, fire extinguishers, windows, offices restrooms and break rooms.
Pull pallets and clean slots.
Operate scrubber, pallet jack & scissor lift.
Mix own cleaning solutions to appropriate strength; replenishes soap, towels, and tissue containers and performs related tasks.
May assist other service personnel with minor repairs including painting.
Perform other work required as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager and/or operations manager.

Skills and Experience:

Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and information in a safe manner and able to take instruction and work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to understand and operate all equipment safely (buffer, scrubber, scissor lift, pallet jack).
Must be able to work in different temperatures (-10 degrees, 30 degrees, room temperature).
Ability to lift 25 to 75 lbs periodically.
Required to work on ladders less than 6 feet above ground level and in confined areas safely.

Hourly Pay: $16.00 an hour

Work Schedule:
7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday during training period.
Then 4/10’s working a rotating schedule.
Must be able to work Saturday’s or Sundays.
