Cell Operators
Monday-Friday| OT as required
4:25P.M-2:55A.M
$21.50
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces to specifications on production basis.
- Read blueprint or job order for product specifications, such as, dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions, such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations.
- Select positions, and secures tool in tool holder (chuck, collet, or tool post).
- Identify (including nonconforming dimensions) and separates all nonconforming parts.
- Seal parts with rust preventative, as required.
- Produce parts at a rate which meets or exceeds accepted production standards.
- Perform accurate and timely 1st part inspections, as well as any other inspections required by the print/job sheet, the department lead and/or supervisor, the quality assurance manager, or a manager using measuring instruments such as, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to measure work piece for conformation to specifications.
- Notify lead and/or supervisor of discrepancies.
- Perform secondary operations and inspections, including deburring and cleaning parts produced, as cycle time permits.
- Count finished parts and packs them neatly into a clean container. Enter required data into computer.
- Keeps machine and tools clean, properly lubricated, and in good operating condition.
- May assume general labor responsibilities, other than machine operation, as assigned.
- Practice good work habits including, but not limited to, being productive and efficient, staying busy by seeing work, being dependable, clean, and organized in work area.
