CNC Set up Operator

Job Description
- Setup & Programming: Independently set up, start up, and run multiple CNC machines (mills or lathes), configure controls, and program machines as needed.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine production requirements and specifications.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections of machined parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify conformance to specifications before mass production starts.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure machinery is in optimal working condition, documenting performance and any repairs needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other operators, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to optimize production processes, making adjustments as necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Report any unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree in machining or related field is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various CNC machinery.
- Basic computer skills for programming and interfacing with the machinery.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for long periods, with good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Work Environment
- Work is typically performed in manufacturing facilities, exposed to moderate to loud noises, and near moving machinery parts.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
1st shift-6am-2:30pm
2nd shift-2:30pm-11pm
Pay-$23-$30/hr.
