Rail Car Quality Inspector – Wood River IL
Career, Lead and Sr. level positions available!
Experience, Valid Driver’s license and good driving record are required!
Temp to Hire!
  • Pay range $23- $31 hourly, depending on experience!
  • All roles require ability to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
Responsibilities:
Perform inspection of tank or freight car assemblies, parts, or material the majority of the time to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements. Perform a variety of standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection and records and analyzes results. Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment. May use automated and manual techniques including to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects. May be responsible for testing during production and finished products. Follows all safety rules and practices.
May be involved in safety committees or CI initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. For new hires previous work experience and/or certifications may be considered for the corresponding job level position. Extensive experience in use of inspection tools and measuring equipment preferred. Independently apply and uses quality science. Sr. level- Must be certified VT Level II, certified Level II in appropriate NDE methods. Perform Final Inspection at multiple hold points and processes. Work requires planning and judgment. Determines and develops approaches to solve a broad range of complex problems.  Why work for Advance Services, Inc.?
