Job Description


Burial Crew Member

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Pay: $17.00–$22.00/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd weekend
Job Type: Full-Time

This is a hands-on, outdoor position. 
What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist with burial services in a professional and respectful manner

  • Dig, level, and prepare gravesites

  • Operate burial equipment and grounds equipment as trained

  • Set up and take down graveside equipment

  • Perform heavy physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Work as part of a team to keep services running smoothly

  • Follow all safety procedures and job guidelines
Requirements (Must Have):

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Lawn care experience OR heavy equipment operating experience

  • Ability to lift, shovel, bend, and stand for long periods

  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled weekends
Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience in landscaping, construction, groundskeeping, or general labor

  • Familiarity with skid steers, backhoes, or similar equipment
